Hello! Thanks for visiting Tokyo Pear! We got our start in Seattle, Washington. When we moved to Japan in 2007, we couldn't find any of the letterpress cards that we used to enjoy collecting. We were inspired to print our own, and decided to introduce independent letterpress to everyone here. We are currently working on new cards, postcards and custom designed letterpress. We hope to hear from you soon!
米国シアトルでレタープレス（活版印刷）に出会う。古い印刷技術とされた活版印刷から創り出される、モダンでカラフルなカードやカレンダー、ウエディングアイテムなどあらゆるレタープレスプロダクツの美しさに衝撃をうけ、日本に帰国後、米国のレタープレスを日本で広めたいという思いから、2008年夫婦でTokyo Pearの活動を始める。
About Our Products
All of our products are simple, fresh, and fun original designs! Our cards are made from 100% cotton paper specifically designed for letterpress and imported from the USA.
アメリカのレタープレスを忠実に再現するため、紙は米国のクレイン社コットン100%紙を使用。レタープレスの仕上がりはプリンターやオフセット印刷とは違い、インクのノリと印圧をかけた時の凹みが一枚一枚微妙に変わるので独特な風合いを醸し出します。
